When you take a look at emergency responders like fireman, police, coast guards, and so forth, and see how they go into harm’s way to save lives; most of us can’t help but think, “man, these people are strong”. But why do we consider them strong? We do, because of their selfless sacrifice on a daily basis. We do, because they run into burning buildings, gunfire, high waves, and many dangerous situations, not for their own sake, but for the sake of helping others.

Just like we consider emergency responders strong, those who fight to save others and expand God’s ministry are also strong. They are willing to go into hell itself and pull people out. God is always looking for those who care about helping others. It is one of the most precious things to Him.

He even promises in His Word to anoint them. He says,

“I have given help to one who is mighty;

I have exalted one chosen from the people.

I have found My servant David; With My holy oil I have anointed him

Psalm 89:19

He is looking for the mighty ones. But not physically mighty. Not mighty because they can beat others up or cuss at people and intimidate them. To God, the mighty ones are the ones that want to make a positive impact in this world and are willing to invest in what is good. If that is you, then He wants to anoint you (bless you) so that you can do even more. Become a person that serves others in your community, in the church, and in your family. When you start to do it, you will see how fulfilling it really it. And how rewarded you will be.

May the God of the Bible Bless You
